EPOCHEM – ACN

(Anticorrosive coating)

Epochem – ACN is two pack systems, Epoxy Coating  mainly  developed  for  its  versatile  use as anti - corrosive coating  in  chemical, fertilizer,  pulp  &  paper, and   pharmaceutical   industries. It  is a combination of Epoxy Resin, Cardinal and Hardener.
 

Epochem – ACN is  two  component   system  applications. These  two  components  are mixed before application in 1:0.5 proportion by weight. It can be applied directly over  neat  and cleaned  surface  as  primer  and  finish  coat.

Surface Preparation:

For better adhesion it is essential  to  clean  the  surface  on  which  Epochem-ACN is to be applied. to remove dust dirt or loose particle by emery paper,  wire  brush or power tools. To get optimum  performance surface must be dry, free from oil grease and sufficiently roughened.

Characteristics of the Coating:

• Ratio : Resin and Hardener 1:0.5 part by weight

• Pot Life of mix: 25 TO 35 minutes at 35`C temp.

• Viscosity of mix : 2000-4000 CP (Very convenient for brush application)

• Coverage: Mild Steel 3-4 Sq.Mtr./kg. per coat.

• Coats recommended: Two coats at an interval of 24 hrs. Between the coats.

• Curing: Gets completely cured at room temp. within 5-7 days

• Visual Appearance: On complete curing…………Glossy Reddish

• Shelf-life : Min 12 months stored at cool and dry place in sealed containers

Precaution:

Mix  only  required  quantity  of  the  material,  which  can   be  utilized within stipulated pot life for period avoids solidification. Wash  all  tools and tackles  with  Industrial solvents immediately after application is completed.
